Commission a Painting

My painting process starts with brainstorming the final painting design. I decide which modifications need to be made to create a pleasing composition, then sketch the design onto paper using the grid method to maintain the right proportions. Then I transfer the sketch onto the primed canvas and start painting!

I work from photo reference - the ideal photo reference is:

  • taken in natural light (ideally on a sunny day)

  • taken at eye level with the subject

  • high quality

Awkward angle

Subjects are too far away, low quality, lack of detail, bad lighting

Low quality, eye flash, unnatural lighting (inaccurate colours)

Sizes and Pricing

*Paintings with more than one subject will increase in price by 50% per additional subject. Postage is not included.
